Cool off in one of these top swimming facilities in San Francisco
While homes for sale in the Bay Area are located next to some of the best beaches in the region, sometimes residents want to cool down in a public pool. The salty water of the Bay is normally fairly cold, and even the famed prisoners of Alcatraz could not brave the frigid seas during the winter. As an avid swimmer who's just moved to the metro area, you might consider seeking membership at some of the following establishments.
Garfield Swimming Pool
This public pool is located in the Mission neighborhood at 1271 Treat Street, and maintained by the San Francisco Department of Recreation and Parks. Daily admission costs $5 for adults over the age of 18 and one dollar for those under 17. Swim lessons are offered to adults and children of any age. This is a good pool for beginner swimmers to learn the basics of water movement.
Bay Club at The Gateway
If you prefer a more high-end experience, head to the Bay Club in the financial district at 370 Drumm Street. This fitness center has a world-class outdoor aquatic center, and offers family friendly lessons designed to get everyone into shape.
