After a long drought, the 49ers heat up the NFL

The past few years have been good for San Francisco sports teams. The Giants won the World Series in 2010, and the 49ers were division champs in 2011. However, the recent success of the 49ers has complemented the Giant's 2010 victory, and the homes for sale in the Bay Area are in close proximity to one of the NFL's hottest teams.

This past season, the 49ers were just one win away from making it back to the Super Bowl. Underneath the leadership of quarterback Alex Smith and tight end Vernon Davis, the 49ers won the NFC East division and posted a mammoth 13-3 record. Unfortunately, the team suffered a heartbreaking loss to the New York Giants in the NFC Championship game, losing by a field goal in overtime.

However, the 49ers coaching staff have taken advantage of the offseason. The team retained all 11 starters from its stellar defensive unit, and resigned many key athletes to long-term contracts. The team is expected to do exceptionally well in the 2012-2013 season, and some pundits believe this team can go all the way.

If you are moving to San Francisco in the near future, check out a 49ers home game - you won't be disappointed.
