My interest in houses goes back a long way. As a child, instead of counting sheep at bedtime, I would design homes in my head. As a teenager, I remember sitting for hours at the kitchen table drawing house plans and elevations in great detail.

As a practical person, I did not pursue my first love, but took a job in the corporate world. My professional career began working at Hewlett-Packard as a photo lab technician and soon moved into management. While working at HP, I attended college part time earning my A.S. degree in Business Management. After achieving that, in an effort to get reacquainted with my first love, architecture, I took the big leap to study Interior Design at San Jose State, and received my B.S. degree as a result. That degree enabled me to move into corporate space planning, where I was exposed to property management, relocation management, and construction management. My last corporate position was Program Manager in the space planning and relocation department at AOL/Time Warner.

It was time for a career change so I decided to do something I always wanted to do but had been afraid of - taking that risky entrepreneurial step. I had always been an outspoken evangelist for investing in real estate because it was something that I truly believed in. As with many investments, it has its up and downs, however the past 80 years of the market has proven that REAL PROPERTY VALUES have always increased over time. It has always been my strong belief that every person should be able to own a home of their own. In Real Estate, I have the opportunity to actively help people realize their dreams.

Unlike many other people who got into real estate sales during the early 2000s, I believe I got into the business for all the right reasons. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone purchase a home and with ZipRealty, more of my clients hard earned money stays with them. I feel that ZipRealty has brought real estate out of the dark ages and into the new world of using technology to everyone's benefit. Collapse
