A Northeasterner by birth, a Houstonian at heart, I enthusiastically embrace the traditions and lifestyle of family. My family was transferred to Houston in 1979 and we have been happy to call Houston home ever since. I am "mom" to three sons, mother-in-law and grandma. Now that the closing is done on the house on 3202 Scenic Shore Drive, Seabrook, Texas, I am writing to you to convey my great satisfaction and complete confidence in your Agent Peggy Brady. She is not only a good real estate agent with a tremendous knowledge of the area, she is a wonderful advocate for the buyer.
We are from Maine, and our families decision to move to Texas was made to accommodate health (warmth) for an elderly mother and aunt who live with us, along with a (perceived) improved standard of living. But, we really knew NOTHING about the area and we might as well have thrown a dart at the map to pick a place to live. We worked with Peggy and she listened to our wants, needs, and dreams, to help us find the right house for us.
However, the process was not without its problems. We made an offer on one house that was contingent upon a walk-through and it was not satisfactory (to us) when we arrived from Maine to look at it. We made an offer on another house and the sellers had not disclosed what they knew was wrong with it and we backed out on our last option day. Finally we found a house that we could live with and that was the house we just bought. Peggy has been our support through all of these terrible and wonderful decisions. We could not have done it without her. Because she is dependable and honest we are sure that our choice of area is the best for us, because she has been a guiding light through all the confusion of buying a house 2000 miles away from Maine.
Again, I would like to say that our experience with Peggy has exceeded our wildest dreams and we now know we can count on her to be in our corner when we need a friend to talk to, or a "bulldog" to bite the mortgage company when they need it! We have yet another house in Maine to sell, (a commercial property) and when we do we will be upgrading our house here (selling it) to buy another one that matches our dreams even more.
