Hello. I'm John McClung. If you would like to know all about the person that would be your Realtor, here is a glimpse at my philosophy and hobbies, and my experience, as they all have a bearing on my approach to real estate.

Since 1996, I have been personally involved in putting hundreds of people in new homes, and hundreds more as a sales and marketing manager for one of Richmond's leading builders. While real estate became my occupation in 1996, I was involved in mangement, sales and consulting previously. Real estate is constantly changing and seems to be well suited to my analytical and research skills, as well as my sales and marketing skills. However the thing that makes the most difference is putting my clients' needs first, because when I do the best things happen.

Location, quality, and price all impact the value of a home. But in the end it's the clients' personal needs, desires, and style; in other words, "tastes" that decide whether a home or neighborhood is appropriate.

My primary hobbies revolve around food and wine. That is to say that I like to cook and I collect wine. This also influences where we like to travel, such as the wine producing areas of Australia, California, New York and right here in Virginia.

During the winter, I watch college basketball, especially the University of Kentucky. Why basketball? Well it might have something to do with the fact that I went to the University of Kentucky. Basketball is the past-time for the state and the UK mens basketball team is the pinnacle. It is about winning, expectations, competition and sometimes a perfect example of what to do and not to do in life. Collapse
