I mainly got into real estate thanks to another real estate agent. I listed my house with her only to find that in the entire time it was listed, nothing was done to sell my house. A sign was put up, a flier box set (that stayed empty unless I made fliers to put in) and no showings for the entire listing period. I knew at that point I could have done a much better job myself!! I also knew I would be retiring from the Postal Service where I had been a Postmaster for many years, and wanted to have another career lined up so I worked for a builder part-time in NY building homes. As a result, I gained experience in construction.
Furthermore, I love working with people. Those are the main reasons why I chose real estate. Collapse

"My wife and I moved from Long Island, NY to Denver, NC in 2002. We were staying with relatives in Vale, NC until we were able to find a house we liked. I had to go to the post office there in Vale and that is where I met Frank. He was the Postmaster there at the time.
As soon as he heard me speak, he asked me what part of NY I was from. We were almost neighbors in NY and didnt know each other. That started a friendship between us.
I told him my wife and I were looking for a house in Denver but were not having too much luck finding one we liked. He told me he was also a Realtor. After work that day, he came over to talk to us about finding a house in Denver. He asked us to make a list of what we wanted in our house and to drop it off to him the following day. We did just that.
Two days later Frank called and said he had two houses he wanted to show us. He only needed to show us one! It was exactly what we were looking for and a lot less money than we told him we could afford! He found our dream home in two days! If that isnt service, what is?" - Bort and Katie Hammersjold

"Frank did a wonderful job selling our home in Mooresville, NC. There were quite a few homes in our subdivision for sale at the time. That didn't seem to matter to him. He kept in close contact with us the whole time to let us know what he was doing to sell it. He wound up selling it to one of his own clients.
I needed to be in NJ due to a job transfer and I had to leave my wife and three year old daughter for two weeks while I got things in order before bringing them with me. Frank kept in contact with my wife while I was away. She didn't drive , so he would go take them to the stores and run errands for her until I was able to bring them to NJ.
He also acted as our POA at the closing. He is now a family friend for life. We keep in contact with each other and my daughter calls him "Uncle Frank." There is no other choice for your Realtor!" - Reek Mandhar

"I moved from California to NC two years ago. I am a single senior citizen. Frank was referred to me by another client of his that I knew from California. We found a house I liked and he made the transition very smooth and easy for me.
I was still trying to sell my home in California while my house here was being built. The Realtor I had in California was not doing well selling my home. I told this to Frank and he found me another Realtor that did the job!
After I closed on my house here in NC, I had to return to California to finish things up. He made sure my house here was well taken care of. He even mowed the lawn when it got too high, so the HOA would not fine me! When the moving trucks came with my furniture and household goods, he was there to help unload.
