Both career and personal life focus on serving others. Born in San Francisco and educated at UC Berkeley, I have contributed time, energy, and resources to higher education, healthcare, and shelters for women and their children. I'm currently a member of the California Common Wealth Club.
Favorite accomplishments include: 1) my small daughter; 2) mediating the agreement to create California State's Breast Cancer Research Program; 3) leading a team of Kaiser physicians and computer scientists to design/create a computer program to support patient care; and 4) serving as a subject, since age 16, in the Department of Labor's National Longitudinal Study, which has provided educators/policy makers/employers priceless information on the educational/training/employment/childcare needs of citizens across the country.
I love the natural beauty and the diverse cultures of this area, and regularly appreciate them both while hiking, windsurfing, dancing - AND helping people here and around the country find new homes in the Bay Area! Collapse
