I entered the Real Estate Industry by accident, while helping a Realtor friend set-up the business structure of his real estate agency. During the process, I realized that I liked the interaction with clients and the personal satisfaction that I was able to generate from a successful transaction. Shortly thereafter, I decided to get my real estate license. My philosophy towards my clients is fairly simple and straightforward. First, I explain my role as their real estate agent and what to expect from my involvement. Second, I describe in a positive way the process of buying or selling a home and the frustrations likely to be encountered along the way. Third, I try to learn from the client everything about their search criteria, i.e., taste in homes, preferred locations, proximity to schools and shopping, etc. This might require more than one meeting, but it's a key element in creating a relationship based on truthfulness and trust. Additionally, I keep myself abreast of the trends and developments that occur in the industry and in my geographic area so the client doesn't have to. Collapse
